As construction continues to move forward at Northgate, we’re excited to share some great news: we have officially secured a lease with Good Earth Natural Foods to open their third location at Northgate Town Square, in the former Rite Aid space.
Throughout our community engagement, we consistently heard the calls for a high-quality grocery store. Bringing Good Earth to Northgate has long been a priority for us because it aligns perfectly with our vision for the site: a thoughtfully curated mix of local operators alongside respected regional and national brands.
Good Earth is more than just a grocery store. Their locations are vibrant, welcoming community hubs that bring people together, as many of you have experienced in Fairfax and Mill Valley. We believe this store will serve as a key anchor for Northgate Town Square, helping to create a lively, walkable destination with a diverse mix of uses that the community can enjoy every day.

While full demolition of the former Sears buildings is still a few weeks away, you will begin to see early site activity as we prepare for this next phase of construction. Ahead of demolition, new fencing will be installed around the perimeter of the site, followed by construction signage, sound barriers, and noise-monitoring equipment. These measures are being put in place to ensure all work complies with the City’s construction standards and to minimize impacts on the surrounding community.
